G.V. Kelley is a nonbinary artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. They received dual baccalaureate degrees in Ceramics and Earth Science from San Francisco State University in 2012. They worked as a studio assistant in the Ceramics Department at SFSU before pursuing post baccalaureate study at the University of Florida in 2015. G.V received a Master of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from U.F. in 2019 and has since done long-term residencies at art centers and private studios around the country. They are currently operating out of Marin Ceramics Cooperative in Sausalito, CA. GV is represented by Charlie Cummings Gallery, Antler Gallery, and KINK Contemporary Gallery. Their work is also included in the permanent collection at the Canton Museum of Art. GV makes figurative ceramic work that explores ideas about non-binary gender identity through the hybridized animal/human as metaphor, with references to fantasy and science fiction.
